    Make a jumper wire run from + battery to solenoid run side hold it open if you have to to start it let go if it stays running it isn’t the solenoid then check the back side of the switch with meter or you can jump wire at switch end to test wire and solenoid

    One wire is to pull the solenoid valve open durning cranking the other holds it open in the run position, most times the hold / run side is bad in the solenoid easy check with a test light or meter

    As I remember it he had a triple 30 and a double 20 amount other oddities that he built and or collected. As a rule most of his collection is on display at the Elnora show in is southern Indiana the town from which he was from WRVATA I think

    On the 500c there is a hose from the trans to a pump we had it get a small hole and it quit moving due to sucking air , it is in the belly of the beast , another problem is a cracked toqure converter and or broken flex plates that drive the converter

    The new ether won’t hardly puff , it’s hard to find it above a 20% here. The good stuff for seating tires was the 50% or better, if you kicked it at the right time a 11.22.5 would jump 2 feet off the floor

    I think there is a over pressure relief valve built into the cat Hyd cylinders, these can cause a symptom such as you describe when they start to leak internally.

    Sometimes the filter head can crack even if the filter cup wasn’t over tightened by you but may have been stressed in the past. Try running it with the crankcase cover off and look at the filter head for leaks

    Better define steering sucks. Are the levers just hard to pull but it steers ok after you get it back ? Or they move easy and it wont turn because the clutches are not releasing? Or the clutches are slipping making it pull one way ?
