    Most likely what your dealing with is a cracked head or cylinder sleeve and at the very least a head gasket that is leaking coolant back into the bore. Wise idea to get the head checked and inspect the bores.

    I personally do most of my businesses with All States, the chain and sprockets are just as good as what you will get from AGCO, truth be know they might even be made by the same company.

    I can sympathize with you and Im sure you are frustrated. If you want to start farming its all about the land, equipment does you no good with out the dirt to put it in. I would probably not be farming myself if it had not been for my father and his father before him that homestead the land...

    oil question on power majors

    Im sorry, we do not use 80W-90 its just 90W. It must be GL-1 spec to be yellow metal safe. I buy it from Napa, the part # is 65-205 and will run about $25.00 for a 5 gal pail. I have heard that it can be had at Wal-Mart to for a little cheaper.

    I use 80-90 in all my Majors. We have always used heavy oil, even in our cold Wisconsin winters. 3 of them we bought new in the late 50's and have never had any troubles.

    The relief valve could be the problem but it is not on the pump, it is located behind the timing cover.

    What weight of oil did you use ? Should be HD 30. If you used 15-40 that could be the problem.

    The coolant in the oil, my first guess would be the liner o-rings, they had a good habit of that. As far as the sudden drop in oil pressure that sounds to me like a spun bearing. Before I would open her up I would advise a oil analysis, it will show the coolant but you already knew that just be...
