When did John Deere start to offer the soft square seat on the B and A? I thought it may have been when they went to electric start. I have a 43 B with a pan seat and flywheel start.

    Rigid 1778 Conduit Bender

I am not a pro, but I am generally familiar with the markings on the radius of a bender that are used to make various types of bends in conduit. The question I have is what are the numbered markings on the neck of the bender where the handle is inserted used for. The markings are numbered...

Is it still Dad's first tractor

In the 40's sometime, probably after the war. Dad bought his first Allis Chalmers Model M crawler, a orchard model. About all that is left is the transmission, and final drive. I have enough parts to put it together again, with all different parts. So if I get together will still be Dad's first...

Ok I know I have aftermarket axle. Really wish since doing restoration I had a factory cast that matched tractor but oh well. 2 questions - are there any later model factory wide front that will fit or line up correctly? - it appears I can elongate mounting holes and slide this backwards...

Will the chopper from a JD 4425 combine fit on a 4400? I asked about a 4420 before, but I found a 4425 chopper that is cheaper and I am wondering if it will work. Thanks in advance, Harv
