    You’re going to have a hard time getting an accurate reading across all the mains with the block sitting on end.

    We run 85-140 in the gearboxes on all our Oliver drills. There are no bearings or bushings in there it’s just steel on steel so you want something good and clingy so it will stay on the shafts and gears.

    Cockshutt 1850 2 speed removal

    Don’t wiggle it side to side. Stick a pry bar in the back of the shaft and pull up. They are tail heavy and will bind. Also a possibility there is some wear in the shaft splines and the clutch disk is having a hard time sliding off.

    Oliver fuel issues

    I guess before you pull the carb pull the fuel like at the carb and check fuel flow. My 1600 did something similar to that a few years ago and it turned out to be a big black beetle that had somehow got into the fuel tank and was wedged in the outlet port. That was dumb.

    Unfortunately like Randy said. As is where is, is your best bet. If you went to a salvage yard to get the missing parts I’ll bet they charge you 500 bucks at least. That being said. If he won’t take it as is, at least check the condition of the moldboards, shins, and points before you scrap it...

    Alright. Well the OP is working on an 1800B factory FWA with a back story. So it’s not one you want to be hacking up if it’s avoidable. And new filters are still easily available through AGCO for sure. So there’s no reason to swap the filter base.

    As far as I know that filter is now only available from AGCO. Part number 609689AS. I know is no longer available from Wix/NAPA, or Baldwin. Don’t remember if we tried Fleetgaurd for one but we are moving back to all AGCO filters anyway.

    I get that. What I mean was why they chose to call it the 2510 when it came out in the 20 series. Was there a reason it didn’t just start out being called a 2520? Seems like that would have been the logical choice to try to distance it a little from the poor reputation of the 2010.

    As far as the 7.50-15 rims go. Tractor was most likely set to be built as a 2 wheel drive and it was pulled off the line and moved to the bull pen to be made into a front wheel assist. At that point in production they most likely didn’t have any rigging set up for the assembly line track to put...

    They made a little editing mistake. The description for the disk plow is next to the disk harrow and the description for the disk harrow is next to the disk plow.
