David Brown 990 Implematic oil dripping out the muffler
The serial plate on right side of seat says it is a AD4/47A. I will have to check the block for conformation. The tractor runs good , cut all my hay last summer with the haybine NH479. But lately after lowing snow for 1 to 2 hrs , the muffler has oil dripping down the outside. I don't...- P White

David Brown 990 Implematic oil dripping out the muffler
There is oil dripping down the muffler on my implematic 990. I think it is time for a rebuild but I have never worked on a diesel motor before, a couple of small block Chevys but not diesels. Can I rebuild this without splitting the tractor? Can I change the sleeves or is there machining...- P White

DB 990 Implematic head gasket?
The other day i noticed the engine oil level was high and a milky color. checked the rad and anti freeze is low. I am thinking head gasket but is there any way to tell? Is there parts available for this , it has the AD4/47A engine? This is bad timing , I need this tractor to cut hay in a couple...- P White
