IH logo on 1946 M Ammeter and Oil Gauge

Can any one advise what the correct logo is for the ammeter and oil gauge for a 1946 M? The stylised logo or the "IH" block logo? Seems they changed sometime around then.

Does that serial number make this a very early one?

    Earthquake at Tractor Shed

Hmm, I don't know. I live near Christchurch, New Zealand and we have been getting shakes for a year now, that have destroyed most of the city center. My dog will act up a bit before some shakes - usually this is the same ones that I can hear coming. The low frequency rumble is barely...

RTR - Thanks for asking those obvious questions and sticking with it. I have learned a lot from reading this post and it will help me in my projects. Thanks to all the contributors, some of us know a lot less than we need, and appreciate your step by step explanations and patience :)

    10-20 magneto

My original unrestored early 20's 10-20 has a Bosch ZU4 mag attached. Would this be correct? - there is nothing to suggest it has been replaced.

    F-12 PTO packing

I would think a longer length would compensate for narrower cord. Probably 1/4" would do the trick.

Electric Light - F14/F12 Pictures Please

Thanks JJ. I have a late 20's 'drum' type headlight similar to the original style, but a bit bigger. The details of the mounting have given me a few ideas. Cheers, Adrian

    F-14 Foot Brake Part

Hi Dave, I would be interested to see pictures of the foot brake components and how they set up. As they are rare here in New Zealand, I feel like a project coming on to make a set and any dimensions and pictures will be helpful. Thanks Adrian Whiteman

Fillis Lives - F-14 back on the road - Magneto Repair Method

My unrestored (but renovated where needed) F-14 "Fillis" is back on the road. Back in Nov last year the front axle seized in the wheel hub, then broke, then the tilted tyre shredded itself (it was near 'new' too). (Fillis has a single front tyre arrangement). Fillis was also a little hard to...
