Thanks for all of the responses so far. I'm going to check with Paul's and see what my options are.

Main Bearings for an Unstyled B

I'll have to see how much bearing is left. As I recall, they looked pretty rough. My machinist was talking like we should true up the crank a bit and try to find some undersized main bearings, but the more I read about these old B's, the more it looks like they just pull some shims and roll on.

Main Bearings for an Unstyled B

Hello, I'm restoring a 1937 John Deere B. It looks like the crankshaft will need to be turned down a bit. The problem is, I can't seem to find any undersized main bearings for the older, unstyled B's. In fact, I can't find any new main bearings for the older B's. I see a few NOS bearings...

    1937 John Deere B - Connecting Rods

Hello Everyone! I'm restoring a 1937 John Deere B. My connecting rods are the original, babbitted ones, and they're in need of repair. Are there any newer rods with bearing inserts that will fit my tractor? If I'm going to turn the crankshaft, I'd like to go with bearing insert rods if possible.

Does anyone know where I might find a pair of headlights for my Massey Harris Pony? I need the lights and the brackets. Thanks.

    MH Pony Freeze Plugs

Hello, One of the freeze plugs on the side of my Pony's N62 Continental engine block is leaking antifreeze. I went to NAPA and picked up some new plugs. How's the best way to remove the old plugs and install the new ones? Thanks.

    D-14 Dead Miss

Well, I bought a new spark plug for it, and now it's running smooth as ever. Hopefully I can keep it going until I'm ready to restore it. Thanks for everyone's input.

    D-14 Dead Miss

Well, I put a new spark plug in it, and it ran as smooth as ever. I took it out and drove it around some, and it never missed a lick. I don't use it a lot, but I need it when I need it. I bought an extra plug in case it fouls one in the middle of a project. I plan to restore it in the near...

    D-14 Dead Miss

I put a new set of plug wires on it a few months ago. I'll try a new plug and also moving the plug wire and see what happens. The first couple of times it happened, I would clean the plug and it would run good for a few minutes before it went back to missing. But the last time or two I...

    D-14 Dead Miss

I have a D-14 Allis Chalmers. It has run great for a lot of years. Lately it has developed what seems like a dead miss. I"ve noticed what appears to be oil accumulating on the back spark plug. I can clean it, but it gets covered again quickly. The tractor still starts and runs, and it is...

    Leaky Pony

Hello, I recently restored a 1949 Massey Harris Pony. It runs (and looks) great, but it has a little problem. Every time it gets on an incline, I see engine oil begin to drip from the hole in the bottom front of the torque tube. When it"s running on a level surface, I don"t typically see any...

    MH Pony - Manifold Question

Interesting. So I assume it should stay plugged during normal operation?

    MH Pony - Manifold Question

I had to replace the manifold on my 1949 Massey Harris Pony. I noticed that both the old and new manifolds have a small threaded hole on the front of them, just above the carburetor. The old manifold had a pipe plug in the hole, so I put a plug in the new one as well. It looks like the hole...
