Today’s weather was great plowing weather.

Looks like it's doing a nice job. When I was a kid I thought I was living large pulling a three bottom Oliver semi-mount hydraulic reset behind a 1550. With all of our hills, we needed side hill control though

    Not a Massey man-BUT

Very sharp - there were some good looking tractors back in the day

    New Deere Dealer

We've had a local Deere dealer for as long as I can remember. When I was a kid it was Lane Way - then 15 or 20 years ago (maybe more - I'm getting old) it was bought out by a larger local dealer - now I see it's changed to SN partners, which has 37 locations in Missouri, Illinois and NY...

    Gelled fuel

I treat my fuel with Howes year round and try not to run my old 2000 power stroke when it get's real cold, but I assumed the newer trucks had fuel line and filter heaters. Back in the day my 6.9 had a spin on filter, so I put a wrap around heater on that

    Pole barn opinions

Pouring a footer and a foundation wall a foot or so above grade would be the most structurally sound method, but if you're going to do that I would put a stick built structure on it rather than a pole type

    I won't forget Dec 4th for a long time.

Congratulations - I'm the youngest of 12 kids, and when our folks were getting too old to take care of the farm, 6 of us got together and bought it. It's been a great resource for the whole family but we're all getting older - not sure if the next generation will keep it going or not

    IH 856 Wheatland

No wheatlands around here. A friend of mine has an 856 custom. He said it was built to compete with the JD 4000

    Speaking Of Silos

Around here they all were. No row crop or beef farms back then. It was five miles from town to our place - up until the late seventies there were ten dairy farms in that distance - only one left now. It was a great way of life, but it's all gone now

    Thank you JD

He was a smart guy. If I remember right, somebody used to go after him pretty hard - not sure why

    I3300B skid steer issues

A guy I worked for had a little Ford skid steer similar to yours, Blackhole - had a little V-4 in it

Ford 172 gas Burning up condenser

Years ago I bought an Allis D-14 that the PO had done a 12v conversion on. It ran great, but kept burning up points (it ran great until the points burned up) - turns out he hadn't changed the coil to a 12v when he did the conversion

    First frost

No frost here yet - way past due

    Compact tractor hunt

You might want to go a little bigger than an L2502 if you want to pick 1,000lbs comfortably

997 Z Track 2010 mower refuses to run long enough to mow yard.

We had a similar problem with our Kubota 3130. Turns out it was the operator presence timer - basically it provides a delay in your seat switch shutdown circuit, so when you hit a bump the engine doesn't cut out

    how dry I am

Here we didn't get enough rains to bring the creeks up all summer, but the rains we did get were timely and everyone's crops look as good as I've ever seen. It's dry now, which is helping with the dry down and harvesting
