    I was cleaning burnt stuff off the the ground around patina,and found this tubing,my neighbor use to have a ford 2000,and mowed this field,I've been mowing this field for 5+years and found it exactly under where she burned,what are the chances of that?...I've also mowed this field with a riding...

    im going with a wire shorting out and a poorly fitting (not much of a seal) engine running hot causing fuel vapors to escape, flames seemed to only lick out from under hood at first until other wires caught fire,I whipped off my shirt to beat on it but the flames only went to the other side.     After,glad I had my distributor for a melted insulator. It's funny the old one worked ok it had a couple cracks in the base (obviously tightened down wrong in the past) and the points plate had been welded on and ground down
