    Kirt, 481 has that same oil breather cap. I'm beginning to think that we'll have to put the big caps back on 90 & 91. I wonder at what number they went to the smaller caps.

    We will have to do some research and have a talk about oil breather caps on early 9n's. Both 90 and 91 came with that same cap. How will I ever find a hood for 481 if you keep getting them first............Nice find

    Serial Number Missing

    Replacement blocks/engines often were not stamped. Sometimes the dealer would stamp the old (replaced engine's) serial number on the new block.

    1940 9N Fender Bolts

    Same problem on my 1940. Ended up having to cut the heads off the bolts with a cutting wheel on a 4 1/2 inch grinder to remove the fenders. This left about 3/8 inch of bolt shaft proud of the housing. Soaked with PB blaster and ATF. Used air chisel with a blunt V shaped chisel to vibrate...

    front wheel weights

    Kirt, If the inner mount wights don't sell bring them with you to the show and maybe we can work out a deal. You know how light those alm. hood tractors can be on the front end, keeps wanting to jump the front wheels off the ground pulling stumps. See you there.
