    Is a 1010 a good tractor?

    I would stay away from it if it is a diesel model. I have a 64" RUS gas I am restoring. Parts are not that hard to find, in my opinion. It really depends how bad you want them. New Generation is not for everyone, but I am sure the value will increase steady on a nice clean tractor.

    My '64 1010 gas RUS model has the 28" tires also. 1st gear is about 1-2 mph at most. I have a book with all the specs for R. RU. RUS models, including orchard models. I will look up and see what you should have for tires if you like.

    I think you need to verify a few things. 1. Are you sure the glow plugs work? 2. How do you know there is water in the cylinders? If there is water getting in there from the cooling system you have bigger problems than you may think. 3. Typicly white somke upon start-up is unburned fuel. The...

    1010c Igntion Switch Replacement

    Thanks Warren. I ohm'd out the switch and decided to put the L on the center terminal as you mentioned. Everything else is where it is suppose to be according to your diagram. I had it out today for an hour or so with a volt meter to monitor the gen. I can't believe how well everything works...
