Got some oil in there and cranked for a bit to get everything oiled up. Not starting but I'll mess with the timing when I have more time. For anyone else facing this, I did manage to find a pointer. Very hard to see but it's an arrow at the top of the picture. Right above the view window. -

Finally getting back at it. I located the spot where you can see the timing marks, but I'm not seeing any pointer ;0 If it ever quits raining I'm going over there and try to get it to TDC and see where the distributor is pointed. I'd like to get this thing running -

I have the Ford Service Manual. I don't see anything that mentions position of #1. The only things I see related timing are the basic ignition timing (2 +/-2), point gap (0.024-0.026), and rotation is counterclockwise. Maybe I found it in another section. "When the gears are properly meshed... -

I think that might be beyond me. Haha. I guess you'd just swap 3 for 1 and 2 would remain in the same spot? Firing order is 123 -

No luck today. I found the viewing window but no pointer that I could see. I pulled the starter and rolled it around so I could clean off the timing marks. Put a little paint on TDC . Rolled it around by hand and then reinstalled the distributor aligned to one. Still not doing it. It either... -

Loader, hoe hydraulic filter
I guess just clean all debris from outside of filter and spray it from the inside out to get rid of debris? Seems like its a cleanable filter. Carburator thingy ID
I know that this has been asked and answered before but I could not find the post. (very poor puter skills) What is the purpose of the screened hole behind the drain plug? I took a carb off of a friends N cuz the it was not getting fuel through it and that thingy was plugged with silicone.- Richard from SE AZ
