    Super C hydraulic valves stuck

    Before draining the unit, remove the fill plug at top first! Then remove the drain plug. Otherwise you might take a hydraulic fluid bath.

    Normal temperature range would indicate thermostat OK. Could be a blown head gasket.

    I used Valspar nine years ago on my Super C and it cleans up almost as nice and shiney as it did when just painted.

    Hmmm. At first I would assume the unit drained down again into the crankcase, but you said you pulled the fill plug and watched for fluid movement (I also assume that meant you saw the unit full). My stupid comment would be to make sure the control linkage is complete. I have had the rods...

    Super C - how to replace steering u-joints?

    Both u-joints on my Super C are fastened with the two friction pins shown in your picture. Sounds like someone may have welded yours after the fact.

    Slow turn over on Super C

    My "52 SC is 6 volt. The 6 volt system naturally is more sluggish than 12 volt. If the tractor is in time and has fuel, it should fire on the first revolution.

    Be careful with hardeners!!! Proper respiratory equipment needed. Read up on it before using. Better yet, don"t use them.

    WD-45 Restoration

    Hey, just hauled in my uncle"s 1954 WD-45, sn 175910 for restoration. It sat under a shed for about 20 years before being moved to my lot about 2 years ago. Engine stuck, needs a lot of work, sheet metal in pretty good shape. Im a Farmall man, gonna need a lot of advice on this restoration...

    Super C hydraulic question

    There was an optional manifold made that runs from the hydraulic pump to the touch control unit that was tapped for lines for the remote cylinder. You can find these from time-to-time on Ebay or the classifieds on this site. Good luck!

    Farmall C clutch froze

    You can also crank it up and then stand on the brakes AND the clutch at the same time.

    Valves can only be adjusted when closed.
