    Exhaust

Nope..... Sir, I tightened all. It may not have pulled out while I was tightening. Could have happened while heating up (doubtful) but it did fry. Being 30 years in the gas and diesel industry, you would "assume" that I would notice something so simple. WOOPS...

    Exhaust

The 9N that I just recently got, came to me with a cracked exhaust. I got a new one off this site with gaskets. Easy install. However I can not get it to seal at the two center ports. I tightened in a sequence like installing a head (tightening from the inside out). I wouldn't think the...

Fluid leaks, PTO and a question

10-4 good buddy. I'll do that at the same time I'm replacing my muffler bearing. By the way, I prefer Vienna Sausages.. I would use those cans, but they just won't handle the amount of fluid I have at this time. With the options you have put on the table, I think I will just rub a bar of...

Fluid leaks, PTO and a question

While sitting waiting on Exhaust parts, I notice leaks at rear. One is PTO out put seal. Obvious... But looks like two more. Are the lower 3 point lift arm brackets in wet holes? It really does look like the leaks are from both left and right sides where the lower lift arm pin brackets...

    Steering assist

My 9N came with a loader bucket and front mount pump for the bucket. Is there a "steering assist" that can be added? The wife has a heck of a time steering this tractor.

3 point hitch lifts on it's on

Thanks to everyone for you points, help and answers. I'm not use to a forum where everyone is nice and helpful. Like I said I got this 47 9N/2N two weeks ago. Been sitting for 4 years. Little time and tender care from me and now it runs great. Still 6vdc with Neg ground. New tires, 5'...

3 point hitch lifts on it's on

Thank you HCooke. I got the original purchase receipt and owners manual. They all say 9N. With the dealers name in Ohio where he purchased it in December of 1946. Thats the only reason I said it was a 9N. What is the difference between a 9N and a 2N?

Thanks Randy. I am in the middle of sending him email as we speak.

3 point hitch lifts on it's on

1947 9N. While going over the field spraying, the hitch lifts on its on. Using the lift handle, I drop it back to the level I want. I hold onto the handle to make sure it is not drifting up. As I round the end of a swath, the darn thing just goes wide open to full height again. I can...
