    thank you for responding Mei, Good suggestions, the problem is mechanic did not place scribe marks on injector pump locking flange. There are three possibilities to make in the three slots on the flange. Dieseltech has also given good suggestion. Thanks

    Thanks Dieseltech for tip on injector pump shaft being 180 degrees out. Contacted repair facility which reports this particular pump shaft cannot be installed 180 degrees out of timing. Any other suggestion would be appreciated. Thanks, Pecan Man

    Thanks for reply Dieseltech, The three bolt holes on lock ring line up with the threaded hole on gear ring. I will call repair facility tomorrow and ask if the shaft is possible out 180 degrees. Unfortunately the mechanic who removed the pump did not place punch or scribe marks on any components.

    Thanks for help JimB2, The injection pump is not a Bosch as shown in manual, this pump does not have a timing window. The independent mechanic did not put scribe marks on locking ring or pump shaft. Also, thanks for the case parts link.

    Tom, I was in the navy overseas aboard the USS Dixie (AD -14) in Japan on that day. We were awaken at the announcement of JFK death. I kept the Stars & Stripes newspaper covering his death and the death of Oswald. Four front pages are framed and hanging in the guest house.
