    lift arm question(s) '63 4000 4cyl

Would it be worth trying to heat it up and bend it? I don't have a torch so would have to find someone to do it for me.

    lift arm question(s) '63 4000 4cyl

Hey guys, I have a situation where I have a rotary cutter that rubs the tire when lifted all the way up. To remedy it I got a pair of Pat's quick hitches. The first one went on fine. The second one was a bear to get on and it wouldn't sit straight. I realized my lift arm is bent a little at...

adjusting right brake pedal 63 4000

Before I messed with it the left side wasn't stopping at all and bothpedals were bottoming out. So I adjusted the left star wheel and adjusted the clevis. It now works ok on the left. The right side stops but I need to raise it to match the left. The threaded part of the bolt is still in the...

adjusting right brake pedal 63 4000

I need to raise my right side brake pedal to match the left. I tried loosening the bolt that holds the collar on the shaft but I broke the bolt head off. Coil question

I'm having the "runs rough after 30 mins or so" issue. Seems to be getting enough fuel. Thought I'd try replacing the coil first. I know, not the way to do it, but I'm not real good with electrical issues. So, cheap enough to give it a try.

    Coil question

Yeah, I looked at that. It would be kind of tough but I might be able to do it. Would definitely be the easiest fix.

    Coil question

Ok, thanks. What are the two connection points? I don't know off hand and it's not in front of me right now.

    Coil question

Thanks for the reply. The ER is one I put on as part of a 12v conversion kit about 20 years ago. Not sure what ohms it is. So I guess just try it and if it doesn't work too good I'll go ahead and remove the ER. From what I read it sounds like the ER is just another thing to go wrong anyway, so...

    Coil question

If I use a 12v coil with internal resistor can I leave the external resistor in place. If not, why not? Just curious. I can remove it if necessary but have to remove the tin to do so, kind of a pain. It's on a '63 4000 (4cyl) gas.
