    You do not need to take the flow duvider off. Just take the hose off that gos to steering hand pump. I know that sounds simple but I kind of forget what is in the way. I got rid of all my service manuals soI can not look it up.

    My first idea would be that the flow dividetr orfice has either came out of place or turned sideways allowing full flow of that pump go to steering. It is just a disk pressed into the bore. It is under that big hose coming out of flow divider right up under left hood unless my old age...

    Totally disagree on looking at bearings first unless you are finding medal in filter. More bearings and time is wasted by not checking regulators and oil pumps than any other procedure I can think of when diagnosing low oil pressure. Saw took many people do it backwards.

    Ah, pot medal filter bases. First off when taking them off the gasket normally tears apart so I doubt you could reuse gasket temporarily. Then thee are three different gaskets so you have to be sure to match them correctly to base. I am not sure if you can directly install the old cast...

    As I got to know the guy over the years I would say he could test anything to it's limits, but that is just a guess as to why the shaft broke. Only one I ever saw or heard of.

    Super M farmall left brake will work fine but pedal pushes hard and will not come back to rest at platform unless you manually pull it back. Right brake and clutch pedal all worked fine. No noise coming from transmission.
