correct me any time ..but before lifting the top cover up and off, isn't there a roller between the two arms connected to the lift...

you will most likely find that getting to all the injectors is a "pain in the rear" so, crack the ones you you can reach, one or two at...

just a thought where you seem to be touching a lot of points, but have you checked the actual cord..both tool and cord end terminations...
