    Ford 3600 power steering fluid

I own a Ford 3600 diesel tractor. Page 63 of my Ford operators manual specifies Ford M-2C53-A for the transmission, hydraulic system (& rear axle) and steering gear housing. I have used an equivalent brand that works fine. However, the manual specifies M-2C41-A for the power steering...

Leak in return flow line in F0rd 3600

Thanks! Now that I think about it, that thick "fabric" covering may be an attempt by an previous owner to fix the leak in that location. I will try to slip another section of tube over that area.

Leak in return flow line in F0rd 3600

Thought I posted this earlier but can't find it so here it is again. I have a 1981 Ford 3600 diesel that has a leak in what I believe is the return fuel line. The leak is at injector #3 (at the rear of the engine). I have removed the bolt that has the "flow through" hole in it and both...

    Problem bleeding fuel filter

    Problem bleeding fuel filter

Good advice! I will check on that tomorrow when I get back on the job. It has to be something simple like that. Many thanks to all who offered advice!

    Problem bleeding fuel filter

I will have to check again to note the brand. I did notice that the thing is made in Poland of all places.

    Problem bleeding fuel filter

I checked that and it will only fit one way.

    Problem bleeding fuel filter

I considered something like that. As it is, the fuel tank is full right up to the filler neck. In fact, there was more fuel in the tank than I realized and it ran over when I put more fuel into it. I am thinking that giving a short, air burst into the hole where the bleeding screw fastened...

    Problem bleeding fuel filter

Still no fuel coming out of the bleed screw on top of the filter housing. Thinking that maybe fuel flow was blocked going into the filter housing, I loosened the retention bolt to remove the filter to see if there was fuel coming out of the supply line. I no more than loosened the retention...
