Benjamin Moore Corotech Enamel
Has anyone used Benjamin Moore Corotech Enamel? I'm looking at V201 which is semi gloss urethane alkyd. The stuff is expensive at about 2X the cost of ordinary alkyd enamels. It is billed as a "high solids" enamel that I suppose means that it is thick is the can. Does this paint squirt well...- Phonostud

Fitting Cylinder Sleeves
Got the block for my FMD all cleaned up, ready to install the sleeves. Did a test fit up with two of them. The protrusion above the block is good, being within the .002-.004" spec. The od. of the flange is about .010" smaller than the countersink in the block. I can center them in place using... -

Where to source a new radiator for our Major?
The shipping charges from Agraline might not be as high as you think. I just had a FMD crankshaft sent to Michigan. The DHL charge was about $85.00 to my door. A radiator doesn't weigh nearly as much as a crankshaft. Ask em for a quote. -

Major rear rims
My FMD uses the same goofey washers. Several of them were missing so I turned a bevel on the lug nutz. U need a lathe for this or a friend who has one. -

Modifying Alkyd Enamels
Has anyone exparamented with adding polyurethane to alkyd oil enamels? Off the shelf enamels don't have real good durability anmd seem to take forever to dry. One dealer offers urethane fortified enamel that supposedly are more durable than straight enamel.I like the DIY approach to problems...- Phonostud

Graphite Rods and Brazing
Greetings Brandon: You might be able to solder in a piece of thin wall steel tubeing, or weld it in place. I have arc welded grey iron castings several times, and have had the best luck with 6000 series electrodes. The nickle alloy rods made for grey iron usually didn't work as well. One part... -
