    I should have add soaked had me shorten the long rod to where the butterfly just would start to open.I could not get it clear down to the last notch in idel but within 2 or 3.Im happy.

    The other thing I found is at wide open outside governor rod does not reach the stop by about 1/8 to 1/4 inch.

    To start Ive rebuilt the carb.all new internals in governor with proper amount of shims,new long and short linkage rods all adjusted to the book. A d the 1st 7 clicks no the quadrant dose not change the RPMs. I'm lost,any help would be great Thanks
