    tach. repair

electrical. pt# AL35166 I'm pretty sure the point where one of the shafts sits (a jewel?) is worn out and doesn't let the needle float properly.

jd 2750 won't go into first

Well, I hate to own up to this one but.... I wasn't finding any easy answers so I went back out and started staring at it. You can almost see down to the bottom where the linkage ends. Didn't look right. On the outside there is a plastic cover under there, must be for protection. I got...

jd 2750 won't go into first

Yep, for this old brain it is. It tries to go in, but grinds and pops out, never seems to go all the way.

jd 2750 won't go into first

Another "minor" problem with the 2750. It won't go into first. Other gears are ok, a little grinding but I guess that's not unusual. Tried adjusting linkage (this is a cab model), no change. I don't use this tractor much myself so I don't know how long it's been doing this. With the help of this...

    john deere 2750

Thanks to everyone for all your help. I tried to post a few replies but couldn't get thru for awhile. I have looked at the diagram, but I'm not sure that's my machine. Will look again. Mine goes from the lever on the right side, across under the dash, then back to the rear. There are 2 (?)...

I never adjusted it, but there doesn't seem to be any adjustment left. Seems to be maxed out.

    john deere 2750

We've had this tractor about 3 years now. Runs great, plenty of power but....I can't believe some of the engineering! As just about everyone says, the dash board is a nightmare! Plastic on an old diesel machine just will not hold up. So, my question is, has anyone replaced the parking brake on...

    JD 2750

It is a cab model. I have tried putting either/ or and both levers in neutral...no real difference. Thanks for the replies!

    JD 2750

Here I am again. The "new" jd 2750 has been put to work and it's doing pretty well. It doesn't even know the round baler is back there. My issue is that once the bale is done, I like to put the tractor into neutral while the baler is tying so as not to ride the throw out bearing. It always...

    gehl 2600 skid steer

Not sure what your starter looks like but I"ve had a few that all they needed was a shot of penetrating type oil on the starter shaft and they worked just fine.

removing cast iron wheel from shaft

A friend of mine has to replace a bearing on his sawmill. It"s a big bandmill. the "wheel" drives the saw blade, it"s about 4" in diameter and the shaft is about 6". The wheel has to come off to gwet the bearing off and then back on .The wheel will not move, even with a 50 ton jack pushing it. I...

    splitting rocks

Do any of you have suggestions for splitting large rocks? I have burned them in the past with brush piles, but right now i don"t have time for that and can"t really afford to have it blasted or hire a hoe-ram. I thought i could dig it out, got sick of it snagging the haybine. Well, turns out...
