    Ford 256 I6 head bolts?

Go to the ARP website https://arp-bolts.com/ and there should be a calculator for ordering studs measuring off the original bolts. When I was doing a Ferguson the company was very friendly helping me size what I needed. They are not cheap, but I doubt OEM bolts are either. I think it's...

1964 Ford 4000 Industrial control valve and mystery part

The oil cap is a rubber sealed expansion plug. Turn the T-handle counter clockwise to loosen and pull straight out. Clockwise to re-install. Available from NAPA if you need one. The first Ford 960 I bought as a broke young man (many years ago) had so much blow-by that I was breathing...

    1962 Ford 4000 SOS Help

Why don't you describe the situation for us? The adjustment is simple and straightforward, what is happening that doesn't allow the adjustment to occur?

Need help finding 1/2"-18 nuts for tie-rods of old hydraulic cylinder.

Is this what you are seeking? Edit: NVM - I see the '18-8' is the grade, not the thread. A cursory search does't pop up anything - how much tension is associated with the assembly? could you tap out a 1/2-20 nut and make that work? Maybe double nut it?

^63 Ford 4000 SOS Feathering Spring

I will not dispute your experience, but I will note that the 5 speed gasket has a different ID number in the parts book. NDA 7223-A. The SOS number is close, CONN 7223-B and 7223-C. B is metal and C is fiber (or vice-versa). Dunno. Do know that for the price CNH wants for a single gasket, I...

^63 Ford 4000 SOS Feathering Spring

I think you are looking for 313796 'spring, control feathering pedal return'. No longer serviced apparently. Difficult to search for as there are several unrelated items identified with that number. There's an old thread here which talks about using a hardware store spring in a pinch and how...

    Roundup/2-4-D

They compliment each other. Glyphosate (Roundup) and 2,4-D amine (LV) in combination is commonly used to maintain the herbicide strips under orchard trees. Glyphosate is non selective, but some weeds are more resistant than others, using 2,4-D in combination allows both to be used at a low...

    Ford Industrial Engine

Well, it's a Ford 4 cylinder 134/172/192ci 'Red Tiger' engine. Produced 1953 thru 1964 for the various series of Ford tractors. I understand the industrial version was produced for a few years after 1964. Ignition parts are common across the series, you can just ask for...

Select O Speed top gears are great but no reverse and little 1-5

In your manual there should be a trouble shooting chart where you use pressure gauges and note where hydraulic pressure is applied in each gear. This will give you insight into what you are up against. As a practical matter, if you have the bands adjusted, the next place to inspect is the...

    SW-2W wagon finished

Not sure I'm up to measured diagrams, but I cleaned my wagon out today and took some pictures with a tape measure. If you need more, let me know. Frame is 3" channel 82" from the hitch to the bend in the frame. 41" from rear of frame to bend. 43.5" outside to outside of frame at back...

    are these the correct carb

Although I have no experience with the Standard engine, the symptoms you describe sound like an issue with the governor rather than the carburetor. Hopefully you have a shop manual which lays out an adjustment procedure. I would start there.

Ford NAA - Vertical Exhaust Installation

Both those kits are designed with the idea of attaching to the muffler in the stock location. If you want to eliminate/move the muffler to vertical right off the manifold elbow, you'll need the services of a muffler shop to either stretch the pipe to fit the manifold outlet or to make an...
