    Roundup/2-4-D

They compliment each other. Glyphosate (Roundup) and 2,4-D amine (LV) in combination is commonly used to maintain the herbicide strips under orchard trees. Glyphosate is non selective, but some weeds are more resistant than others, using 2,4-D in combination allows both to be used at a low...

    Ford Industrial Engine

Well, it's a Ford 4 cylinder 134/172/192ci 'Red Tiger' engine. Produced 1953 thru 1964 for the various series of Ford tractors. I understand the industrial version was produced for a few years after 1964. Ignition parts are common across the series, you can just ask for...

Select O Speed top gears are great but no reverse and little 1-5

In your manual there should be a trouble shooting chart where you use pressure gauges and note where hydraulic pressure is applied in each gear. This will give you insight into what you are up against. As a practical matter, if you have the bands adjusted, the next place to inspect is the...

Stub axles welded to two lengths of 2" angle to form a box channel. Standard Ferguson 6 lug bolt pattern. These are tractor rims, Tom's pictures above show what I believe would be original rims. My overall length of the sideboards is 97.5" The originals measured 95". Regards David

    are these the correct carb

Although I have no experience with the Standard engine, the symptoms you describe sound like an issue with the governor rather than the carburetor. Hopefully you have a shop manual which lays out an adjustment procedure. I would start there.

Ford NAA - Vertical Exhaust Installation

Both those kits are designed with the idea of attaching to the muffler in the stock location. If you want to eliminate/move the muffler to vertical right off the manifold elbow, you'll need the services of a muffler shop to either stretch the pipe to fit the manifold outlet or to make an...

1959 871 transmission pressure test and band adjustment

Congratulations- I hope the machine gives you good service for a long time. I have an orchard mower hooked up to mine and I really like the 10 speed power shift and easy speed changes for differing conditions. It's sad that the transmission was released prematurely and got a bad reputation...

My Te 20 with hi low

Not a Sherman. There were a number of manufacturers of auxiliary transmissions for Ferguson and Ford tractors of that era. Sherman was the most popular in the US, but Howard, A&I, and others also manufactured specialty units of various sorts. Post the picture with the shifter in the '8N Ford...

My Te 20 with hi low

In the second picture you can see the shift for the auxiliary transmission on the right side of the bell housing. I have a Sherman in my TO-30, its shifter is on the left side, this is another brand, maybe Howard?. It was added either by the dealer who sold the tractor or some previous owner...

    1964 ford 2000 won’t move

I had that happen once... got off the tractor to close a gate and when I got back on the tractor would not move. It was the clutch. Exactly what happened to it, I do not recall. Not sure I even tried to dissect it, 'Razor', the crusty Ford dealership retired mechanic (retired to parts man)...
