    R John Deere

    I would say it is probably a better than average chance that a crack has opened up in the head. I have my father's '53 R and the only problem we ever had with it was cracked the head once or twice pulling a 4-16 plow in heavy muck. Just a guess. What have you been doing with it?

    3010 john deere

    For my 2 cents, keep in mind that the pedestal is heavy and can overcome the balance point of the wheels and spindles. It will happen so fast you can't react. My uncle told me and when it did I was out of the way & luckily no catastrophe. Be careful.

    2010 wont start

    Mine will get a stuck float after it sits for very long. Give it a little squirt of ether and see if it will run momentarily and then quit. If thats the case peck on the side of the carb with a small hammer. I hope this helps. Pop Pop

    Powr trol plugs

    What model are you dealing with. I have a '53 R and on top of my openings(probably on your right side) there is a lever that I have to trip to go inline with the hoses to release the fittings. I hope this helps.

    I would replace the old hose first and see how that impacts the situation. My two cents.

    LP Powered Forklift

    The LP tank is pressurized so the fuel system doesn't need the starter to get fuel to the carb. Sounds like a filter blockage or checklock issue.

    4020 BATTERRY JUNK

    My 1963 4010D we cut away the sheetmetal and welded in 1" angle framed to accept 31 series batteries that still reside under the platform and swing out for access. I placed a rubber mat under the battery and cover it with another held in place with a rubber tarp strap. I replaced the lock down...

    Do you know if the fuel pump is turned up and if so how far? (Ive heard as high as 25%)

    Model A Roll-O-Matic

    A few years back my dad's A would do that and inside the Roll-O-Matic mechanicism are some teeth that were dry and binding. We lubed them good and no more trouble. Could be other scenarios going on also (some foreign material). I hope this helps. Pop Pop
