    Pard -Looks aren't too important for what you want the tractor to do. Have the present owner start it up, let it run for ~20 minutes, and run the throttle up and down. Check around the rear wheels for oil leaks. Drive it around the lot, checking all gears, the clutch, steering, and brakes...

    Chris - The intake tube on my 2N air cleaner comes down 3/4" into the oil. The intake tube extends 2" below where the air cleaner oil cup clamps to the body of the air cleaner, the cup is 3" top to bottom, and the center "cup within the cup" is 2" high. Thus, the intake tube extends 1" down...
