    when we milked we had a few brown swiss . had all the dairy breeds but they were MY favorites. had i went into dairy farming, i would have had all brown swiss. my uncles had reg. guernseys . they had quite a nice herd but i still like the brown swiss!!!!

    How much snow did you get?

    ok tried to get out , road drifted at least 4 ft to east , turned around went west , got to state hwy , then kept digging down, pushing snow, (4x4 pu) finally got turned around and back to house. grader just went by, really pulling , so we'll go chk it out. worse its been here in years.

    offically in central mo. , we got 19 inches some a bit more. roads are terrible at best. have to get my lady to work then try to get to the cows. going to be a real challage as wind blew all night. I 70 was closed from KC to ST. LOUIS.

    i had a 1850. was a good baler but moved to a jd 535, glad i did!! dealers are far apart these days and that is a old baler. i would suggest to stay with either a JD or new holland. in either case condition, condition,so check any baler over good. also what your budget is and amount of...

    M3 Gleaner

    we havea F3 i know different motor but ours depends alot on what brand and wt. we use. we use JT-8 mystick brand 15-50 diesel oil, it will run almost 15 more #s and seems to stay there . that little 4cyl runs very warm under load.

    yeah, sweet machine for sure! we had a guy who several years ago, had 2 or maybe 3 of those farmed ALOT of ground used allmost all ford equipment too , tractors , tillage etc. what about parts though? available or easily reworked? if it were closer i would really give it a good...

    so much snow ?

    i know this is a dumb question , but for the people in the north east. when you get 4 feet of snow @ one time , what do you do with your cattle and livestock? where do they go and how do you get them fed?
