    Deviated septum

    I am having a procedure in a couple of weeks. There is a relatively new procedure that is supposedly painless and just takes a few minutes. No pain afterwards. It is not the balloon and there is no anesthetic required and no pain medicine afterwards. Will let you know when I get it done.

    I am retired after 48 years and 4.5 million accident free miles over the road. The way you learn is experience. Keep trying and you were very wise to ask for help in slippery conditions. Keep it up and a short time down the road, you will get the hang of it.

    John Deere 7000 planter - cast iron closing wheel arm???

    Back in the 90's I converted a JD 7000 from standard press wheels to cast iron press wheels. As I remember, changed nothing but the wheels and over 6000 acres, they gave no trouble. This was for mostly no-till corn into soybean stubble and beans into corn stalks.

    Shipping charge

    I shipped a pedal tractor to the San Francisco area last spring from Illinois using Fastenal. I use Fastenal frequently when I have larger things to ship.

    Kubota gas engine

    I have a grasshopper mower with a water cooled, gas engine on it. It is 25 hp. Kubota dealer says it should run 2000 hrs or more before it needs any attention other than routine oil changes etc. I have had it 19 years and it has 750 hrs on it with absolutely no problems.
