    Thanks for your replies. We did notice one scv getting hotter after rebuild, however I switched them last summer and the same scv ran hot wherever I put it.     4430 Hydraulic oil bypassing

    I have a 4430 that is bypassing hydraulic oil somewhere in the rearend. It makes a squealing/hissing sound only when the oil is relatively hot. The local dealers shop has rebuilt the hitch valve, both SCV"s,and checked all external valve bodies. They think it could be an O-ring on the rockshaft...

    Thanks for the info, I didn't know if they were the same dimensions or not. Also, thanks for the advice. I haven't got mine apart yet, but it siezed up in the field. It broke loose and shifted alright, but it has a nasty bearing whine in it and there are metal fragments in the oil I drained out...

    I have a 78 2-155 with a bad over under. A local salvage yard has one. Will the newer, heavier over under bolt in where my lighter unit was?
