    castle nut

    Thanks for the reply. The nut had paint same as the tractor from where the previous owner had it painted. It just had one side with paint as if it was in a not very accessible place on the tractor. Maybe someone had just left it in previous maintenance at a shop. Thanks again, RJ

    I found a castle nut on the ground from my 8N tractor. It is 1 inch inside dia. and would take a 1 1/2 wrench to fit it. I can not find where it came from and have asked some local tractor mechanics but no one seems to know where it goes. Thanks, Richard
