    They usually ask me if I have traveled to south Africa, I give them a stunned look and turn to wife, and say, "Have we been to south Africa recently?" To which she answers in the negative. Turn back to the nurse, and say' "I didn't think so." Always backs 'em off a few seconds.

    Olson knife was a small company out of Howard City MI. Long gone. rrlund and I probably ones of a few who even remember them. Doubt if their signage ever got far out of our area. Don't remember seeing it except right around Howard City, but then I didn't travel much as a kid.

    Wire had knots at evenly spaced intervals. As planter crossed the field planter would be triggered by knots. Wire had to be moved with every pass of the planter. Idea was that plants grew in a grid pattern which allowed for cultivating both with the rows and across them as well. Not very...

    FCC is working on regulations to limit the telemarketers cloning numbers to make it look like a local call. To be run by the phone companys. Think this will work? Think I'll reserve judgement. This plague has developed a life of it's own.

    My problem is that we sell some of our products via swaps, craft fairs, bazaars, etc. Some potential customers may have picked up our numbers off our business cards or internet, or word of mouth. Kinda gotta answer unknown numbers, rude not to, and can loose business that way. I just hang up...
