    Electrical hookup

Thanks. I dont know much about wiring ecpecially 6v pos ground. I was always under the impression you should use a relay to lessen the power draw or something I dont know. But I'm glad I can do this without a relay complicating things more. Thanks for your input. Hoping to hook it up after work.

    Electrical hookup

Thank you Jim and Btzj. So should I not use a relay? Also will I need to insulate the mounting brackets of the light? Since I'm mountimg to the hood metal. Otherwise I will run the 6v input + to battery + and - to - battery post. Then the output + and - directly to the lights. Obviously...

Thanks for the reply Bruce. I researched this on Amazo n and several people have successfully used this on their 6v 8ns for running led lamps Just none really stated how to do it.

    Electrical hookup

As some of y'all know I have a 47 or48 8n front mount still 6volts. Now that it's operational I need lights. I purchased a step up converter to go from 6v to 12v just for the lights. I am running an led pod on front and back. I may run a relay as well as obviously fuses. My question is how do I...

    47 8n hydraulic pump

I think mines more straight than angling toward the valve. Gives me a place to start while it's apart again. Thanks JMOR

    47 8n hydraulic pump

Good info. Thank you. Mine dont seem bent but I'll check when I get it apart. Maybe when I put it in it was tweaked. I did it myself without a lift so when I set top lid on and lifted inspection side while reaching in it was likely off kilter.

    47 8n hydraulic pump

Haha. Thanks Hobo. I'll keep ater. I'm no above putting a weld or something on it. Better than having to keep tearing it down to put it in place. Are inspeion cover bolts 7/16ths? I'm pretty sure that's the same as the top lid bolts.

    47 8n hydraulic pump

Got it working. Those valves were installed wrong. Rachel shows it wrong in her video and that's what I followed. I flipped valves around and it works. Went to hook up rear blade and the control arm slipped out of the valve. Is there a reason this would happen and a remedy?

    47 8n hydraulic pump

I'm leaning to the valves are not correct. I had a feeling after installing the valves that something didn't seem right. Watched a different video and am pretty sure they were put in wrong. I'm going to try pulling the valves with it still in tractor today when I get home. I hope it's something...

    47 8n hydraulic pump

Trying short video. No fluid is making it to the tube that runs up to top lid. Hopefully video works but it shows the pump on while running pto engaged.

    47 8n hydraulic pump

Thanks for the response. The valve was cleaned and checked operation prior to reinstalling pump. Appeared to function properly and smooth. One step I missed is removing top lid and actuating the valve to see if oil is making it to the top. Any other ideas to try? By the way I did not see...

    47 8n hydraulic pump

Thamks for the reply. Yes sir. It fully opens and closes smoothly. Something else to add... I apparently installed the O ring and leather backer in piston in the wrong way. O ring to the front and leather facing oil. Could that be an issue? I read the leather was to keep O ring from being cut...

    47 8n hydraulic pump

Update again. Removed pto cover and noticed gouging. The rod the arm on lever was worn. I removed the nut on that rod and rotated it to a fresh side. Pto now turns on and off. Bad news I put top lid back on and added hydraulic oil and still no hydraulics. I'm at my wits end with this thing...
