    bale accumulator

look around and find an all manual accumulator. I"d stay away from the hydraulic driven ones. Too many things to screw up and they need to be adjusted perfectly and the bales need to be consistant. The manual ones work great.......I had one and it was flawless. 'Used it for 12 years and the...

    Whew, done

'Loved the view of the boots! 'Tells me you have a weak left ankle and are too tight to spring for new boots! Looks like a really nice farm!

    Grinding ear corn

'Picked this year about 3 weeks ago.......moisture was 15-16% in the grain. My question, how much moisture will the cob have in it and how soon can I safely grind this without having to worry about too much moisture in the cob thus causing molding?

    Gas Can Vent

Looks easy enough to do. Drill a 1/2" hole in the side wall down toward the bottom. Install a tubeless valve stem into the 1/2" hole. Take the valve stem core out, screw the plastic cap back on and you're good to go.

    what to charge

Depending upon what you've got to haul them on, I'm guessing it will take you 5-7 hours....considering the two mile haul. I"d probably ask for 2 apple pies.

How hard is it to move a hydrant?

It could be anything...but probably a 1" line feeding it. Probably black plastic. But then again.......could be anything. Just dig it up and see what you've got. You're going to move it anyway so you should be able to adapt it to whatever you plan to use for the new water line. No big deal...

Hay price standing in the field

University of Wisconsin has a lot of data on selling "standing hay". It gets complicated with so many factors considered....yield, weather, moisture, fertility, markets. Google "standing hay" and see whatyou find. Absolutely keep it simple for everyone.

    balage experience. good/bad

The University of Arkansas (of all places) did a study on the "shelf life" of silage bales once the tube had been opened. As I remember, their work revealed "three weeks" were needed before you saw much deterioration (sp?). The outside temperature will have a dramatic effect upon the shelf...

    Net wrap

I just bought my very first round baler. 'Always had it custom done or baled small squares. I too bought a Claas. 2007 Claas Rollant 160, gave $12,000 for it. I use it for silage bales primarily.

    alfalfa autotoxicity

Since it was a "new stand" this year.......you should be alright by replanting it next spring. The toxins are generally of function of "established stands".

    Leaking pond

You either have had low rainfall or you have developed a leak....due to muskrats or something similar. I have successfully used old sheet rock to seal ponds. Anybody doing remodeling should have this to give away. Just float the sheets out into the water and let them sink. 'Something about...
