JD A - 1951 model year: Tractor will automatically slip out of gear when it is in second and third. It might do it in other gears also. I am restoring the tractor and have it all painted and ready to be put back together. What is the problem and is it easier to fix before I assemble the...

    Ford 8N Hydraulics

My Ford 8N can't keep the Woods 5 foot mower at the correct level. It is either too high or too low. If I get it at the correct height, sometimes tall grass will pull it down. What needs to be repaired? Is there a manual on how to do the repair? THANKS!

    8N Voltage Regulator

8 N origianl 6 volt system. I have been through 4 voltage regulators over the past 2 years. The last vendor said to spray WD40 inside before installing. It worked about 6 months. I polarize them as per instructions. Tapping on the cover does not help. I am paying about $35.00 for them...

    JD A Shutters

I am restoring my JD A. I cleaned up the shutters and they work great. I am concerned if I spray paint the epoxy primer and urethane paint on them they will no longer move. If I tape all of the moving rods, etc., there won't be much to paint. I wonder if I should brush the primer and paint...
