    Aftermarket Water Pump Rebuild?

That's fantastic info, thank you so much. Sounds like I'm trying to do this the government way, take something simple and complicate it.

    Aftermarket Water Pump Rebuild?

Yes, it is currently a thermosiphon. My father had wanted to put a water pump on it to go to events and pull a plow with it. We have a late model g pump but no matching radiator tank F1051R to bolt it to and then this aftermarket one he bought which we have all the parts for. I included that...

    Aftermarket Water Pump Rebuild?

It wasn't installed on the tractor and I'm not sure if it's any good. But we have all the parts to do it but I doubt it's worth the hassle.

    John Deere G Starting Restoration

I've posted a few questions on the John Deere thread but wanted to share what @RedGreenGuy and I have been up to. A little over a year ago my father passed suddenly. This was his tractor that he wanted to restore. My grandfather and I started restoring it in his memory. I work on the other side...

    Aftermarket Water Pump Rebuild?

I have an aftermarket pump for the G, but have no idea how to get it apart. I thought it was set screws from what appear to be threads but the bottom of the holes look flat. From my research this was sold by tractor supply, however I can find no diagrams for it. I found a photo on Facebook of...

    Part ID help?

Have a bit of trivia. We found these in one of my father's "parts barrels" and we have zero clue what they are. "P1342-B" is cast onto the part.

    Restoring G

Air cleaner has been removed completely as the intake stack was rusted out but mother nature did her job. We now have a cup that I can strain pasta with. I've called just about everyone I have found with no luck finding a replacement any ideas for a fix? Lots of pinholes and interior cup is...

    Restoring G

Not yet, we've rolled the engine over with the valve cover off just to make sure everything moves. I will need to read up on the procedure.

    Restoring G

Is that a piston swap? I know my great grandfather and my dad had the engine apart at some point for oversize rings but I faintly remember they might've swapped the pistons out as well to increase HP. I haven't checked compression yet other than it has it.

    Restoring G

Hello all, new member but have been reading a lot. My grandfather @RedGreenGuy and I are restoring my late father's 47 G in his memory and we're about finished tearing down as far as we think we want to go. I come home for a few days from across country every couple of months to work on it with...
