Thanks for your post on this thread 1985 .. I guess you are talking about the back of the injector pump ? I cleaned the filter screen for the booster pump on the end . It looked good when I took it apart to clean it . -

Well I changed both the pump and injectors . I just went and found the center mark on the pump and it had 4 C and a line in the center . I moved the center to align with 4 degrees from center line on the housing plate for flywheel / looking from operators seat to the right . she started and ran... -

No prior history on tractor . The original fuel filter was nasty and the original pump would squirt fuel 10 + feet after new filter and cleaning lines out but i could never get fuel to the lines for injectors . so i changed the injector pump and got good fuel spray from injectors . believe it... -

I can not work on tractor because of rain today . I can confirm that i removed the 5/16 ths air bleed plug and cranked the engine. fuel will squirt 15 feet . I am pretty sure that the timing of the pump may be the problem. I thought timing could be advanced or retarded and i wonder if it take a... -

NAPA 3166 filter metal top with 3/4 inch hole for bolt and 4 slots around outer edge 1 inch long and 1/8 th inch wide . good fuel out air bleed plug. bled injector lines and pump. I even pulled injectors and connected back to fuel lines and cranked had good spray from injectors. reinstalled... -

I am stumped on next move to get motor running. I can get it started after new injectors but when mi go to decrease RPM,s the engine chokes down and dies even after throwing throttle wide open . I have bled injectors and pump , put new fuel filter in as well as air filter. it takes a while on... -

Installing starter solenoid on starter for Ford 4600 diesel
Having trouble hooking the solenoid to the verticle rod that engages the starter gear to flywheel on my 3 cyl diesel 201 engine on Ford 4600 SU tractor 1979 year . Thanks in advance Randal- rat0851
