    Thank you , took the nut loose and the squeal stopped. Gave it a couple squirts of silicone lube and Complete success. This was my dad's tractor until he passed away. I want to keep it working like it should. And I appreciate your help. Thank you.

    Thank you, obviously I am not a mechanic. After I chased the vibration with my hand I located the noise. It is coming from the guage on the right side of the shifter.I loosened the nut behind the guage and there is a cable inside that tube. That is making the noise. But I still do not know why...

    My tractor has a squeal between the gearshift and the back of the battery. I do not have a clue. Anyone heard of this? Tractor sitting in heated garage but not started for couple of weeks. It did not do this when last used :?:
