    AC 7040 power shift tranny problem

    I just took in a 7040 power shift tractor i bought it sat for about three years and has had no change in tranny fluid in 7 years for sure. In reverse it slips for about 15 to 20 feet till it fully engages then doesnt slip then one forward it does. If any knows about this problem could it be the...

    Pushing the big gear forward did the trick! The tractor is now out of gear. Thanks Don & Big Dean! And thanks to everyone for all the good adive & suggestions.

    Thanks tg. I'm going to keep poking around in there, maybe I'll hit on something that will work. I'll give it a little stronger talking to as well. Can't hurt.

    Thanks Chuck. I backed it up for a 1/4 of a mile to get to the shed. Stil was stuck.

    My MF35 is stuck in reverse gear & I can't get it out. I have tried taking off the transmission fill cap & poping it back into place, as I have done on other 35s, but it is stuck solid. Any ideas?
