    445 long piston and rod placement

    Well conventional wisdom wins again. That is how it goes. The manual I have is a copy of a terrible copy but apparently the stamped #s on the rod and cap face opposite of cam which makes your theory correct. Thank you

    445 long piston and rod placement

    So I have a 445 long that came with a box of parts. The engine was disassembled. I have checked my manual and am having issue finding the direction the connecting rods sit on the crank. The cut is offset not straight across like automotive. Any help is appreciated
