    Splitting Allis C

Thank you for the information on the clutch plate, I might just change it out, but looking at the parts for Allis C clutch plates on this site there are many to pick from, any recommendations on which one? My C is a 1945 #C31085.

    Splitting Allis C

I had mentioned in my reply that the transmission was making a low grinding noise and hard to shift in gear, would that be a clutch or transmission gear problem? Thank you, Ron

    Splitting Allis C

Thanks for all of the tips on separating the tractor, very much appreciated. Is there anything I should consider changing out while the tractor is split for changing the ring gear? I have a low grinding sound coming from the front of the transmission, and sometime its hard to keep from...

    Splitting Allis C

After looking over the ring gear on my allis C from the starter hole I need to replace the gear, I've had several starters that are hit and miss on engaging the gear and I'm getting too old to hand crank it, so I'm looking for any tips on splitting the tractor and anything else to consider...

Ford Jubilee 3 post Starter relay/solenoid

Old, I agree it was rewired, but was working on that wiring set up with a 4 post key switch for the 15 years I've owned it, just didn't want to have to rewire the whole thing if I could find a solenoid like the one that was on the tractor. It was a 3 post solenoid with no button on the bottom.

Ford Jubilee 3 post Starter relay/solenoid

I have a 1953 Golden Jubilee that has a 3 post solenoid (stamped made in USA) and a 4 post key switch. The push button starter is not connected. The starter and switch are good. I've tried a 3 post solenoid from this site and it didn't work, plus tried one from O' Reillys it didn't work, got...

Allis C front wheel bearing seals

I sent JoeM a photo of the Seal/s I removed and the felt one sent to me by YT.

Allis C front wheel bearing seals

JoeM, the one in your photo looks like the one in the photo I've attached. The one (actually 2) on the bottom of the photo is what came off my Allis C, the one on top is what YT sent me for the C. I can't take the old one apart so is that new felt one the wrong seal?

Allis C front wheel bearing seals

I'll send a photo of the seal and it's metal housing/caps, not sure what to do because I thought that's what I was getting when I ordered from YT but I just got felt seals.

Allis C front wheel bearing seals

Installing new bearings and seals on my Allis C (first time I did this on this tractor) I ordered new felt seals and they came that way just felt , but the existing seals were mounted inside of two pressed metal caps. My question is do the new felt seals go inside those caps? Looks like they...
