    Serial number plate, TO-20

Please do share a link... I searched to no avail. Google too. This is the serial number plate on the top of the steering shaft, near the dash.

    Serial number plate, TO-20

I have a 1948 TO-20 with a buggered and partially painted over serial number plate on the steering shaft... I have seen replacements available for a TE-20, but cannot seem to find a TO-20. Anyone know where they might be available?

    Ferguson Tractor Jack ?

Regards leaving the tractor running... I found no need because my hydraulics do not leak down. If you work UNDER the tractor, by all means use jacks to stabilize!!! But I removed both rear wheels and diddled with them and the tractor did not budge during the working time.

+1 on the Sure Seals, from this site. Simple solution. Grease is a perfectly fine lube and will rarely need refreshing.

    trans fluid on to-35

One of which might be, leaky wheel bearing seals. The seals on this site that do not require breaking down the bearing, but just go over it, work GREAT BTW. Just pack some grease in the bearing and seal it up. DUN. Then you get to clean up the brake parts.

    trans fluid on to-35

My oil looked clean and fresh too - on the dipstick. But when I changed it due to slow operation in the cold, I found an ALARMING amount of water in it. Sitting at the bottom of the sump. Many here stress that changing the oil should be an annual ritual. I now absolutely agree. I will get...

    TO 20 Z 120 oil pressure problems

I don't think I would use synthetic in an old motor... clearances are quite a bit bigger than modern, and seals are aged. Try a conventional 15W40 diesel oil as recommended and see what happens - just drain and fill. Might save you some work.

    need loader for to-20

Interesting post... subscribed. I have *most* of a manure bucket loader but not the mounting frame. Either I fabricate a frame and use it, or provide it to someone else and get a pond scoop.

TO 20 shuts off after a few minutes

Coil going bad: heat. It fries the insulation between the windings. The coil is as good as the insulation. It can also cause an intermittent open, which would appear once it heats up. Next time it quits, meter across the low voltage connections on the coil. If open, you found your...

    Seeder/spreader for Ferguson TO20

That's amazing. Searches for local auctions is yielding ... nothing. Finding one is probably going to be a long term project.

TO 20 shuts off after a few minutes

Mine will do it occasionally too... the suddenness had me thinking electrical too. But in my case, in the cold, it is running but the choke is too far open or too far closed when placed under load and it dies. Occasionally I can catch it by fiddling with the choke, occasionally not. Try...

    TEA-20 (2085) starter...12V in Canada

True, but when I looked into it, the cost was greater than replacement.

    Seeder/spreader for Ferguson TO20

Horses are 32" and 34" at the withers, eat about 25% (or less) of a full size horse's rations. Bad plan to let them graze all day.... an hour or two at the most, random days. The donkey eats about 50%. We actually still have grass from last summer's growth, just want to improve it. Thanks...

Another 3-pt. stuck in full up position

Oh, sure, 6 gallons in and NOW you tell me... Actually, 5.5 before oil started running out the bottom bolt hole on the dipstick cover. Wouldn't be surprised to find there's a half gallon or so of splooge, old fluid, and more water trapped in the crevices. UGH. FOUR it is then. I...
