    I think I had really rather have it back to 6 volts as original. I just haven't been able to figure out all the PO has done to it. The shifter arm for the sherman has 3 positions,is one of them (middle) a neutral? Thanks guys, as always you all are a great help. Fred

    It is +ground. I meant to say he replaced the push button safety switch in front of the shifter. He DID put on a new starter solenoid but it is a 4 pole type and not the 3 pole like my 8N was. It also has a sherman hi lo trans. The shift lever is on the left side and has a straight type...

    I have one. It still has the generator on it. Runs great and I just tuned it up. I have it on CL for 400.00 complete. Electric start and is a gas unit. Might be to far to ship, I'm in Canton, Tex 75103. Fred
