Going to need help with the French car

I’ll see if I can find it online. Used to subscribe, occasionally sign on for a year when they offer a deep discount. I enjoy looking at the auction results.

    Long 350 won’t start

I would do the borescope first, then ATF if you feel like it. You’ll get a better picture of what’s going on in there.

Going to need help with the French car

I have new plug wires ordered—all two of them. The current ones look like they’ve been on the car since 1966. When I was doing the engine work I replaced the spark plugs (some strange French brand) but forgot the plug wires. Odometer reads around 34k miles which is probably accurate. These cars...

Going to need help with the French car

Thanks, I have the repair manual and full restoration guide as well. FYI-regular 4 stroke engine, nothing fancy. Single barrel carb. Actually thought I was posting in tractor talk.

Going to need help with the French car

Just a heads up, I’ll elaborate in a bit. I’ve rebuilt the top end, put new piston rings in and the motor sounds strong. Getting a “miss” or kind of spitting through the carb. Sabotage?!

Thinking outside the box: snip a few connections to try to drum up repair work?

    International T340 Capabilities

I don’t know how much of a skid steer $8k will buy but you might consider looking at them. I’d stay away from antique machinery for getting any real work done. Looks like they stopped making the T 340 in 1965 and it’s possibly older.

    New tractor

However long it took to wash it, looks like it got a full restoration during that time.

Not familiar with that character. Read quite a few of the adventures of Captain Horatio Hornblower. I’ll remember the author in a minute.

Hope everyone’s ok. Here’s a truck pic I never used. 18 wheelers propped against each other on deck. August, 1979.

    Flat Tire

I have the same project, same building, same bees. Woodpeckers enlarged one of the holes which a family of starlings took as an invitation to raise their young so they moved in.
