    It's a 1953 super A industrial. HOW can I tell for sure the saddle switch is making contact with the starter? It tests Good with the multimeter,and the starter passes the bench test. I've had it disassembled and reassembled three times and it is apart now.

    For the needle to Move.

    So the points must be closed for the needle to close? I can't get it to crank the starter after changing the saddle switch. Also,Thanks for replying.

    Help!! everything seems to check ok. Problem started with a bad saddle switch and also changed Voltage regulator.
