MF 245 Implements hitting rear tires

Maxwell, your comment about lift pin location, jogged my memory about a similar problem I had 30 yrs ago with a MF150. So I decided to rotate the lower lift pins on my cutter 180 degrees to the inside of the support brace, instead of the outside. Well guess what? It worked. By moving the pins...

MF 245 Implements hitting rear tires

I hope some of you guys can help me figure out why my King Kutter brand 6 ft. "bush hog" hits my rear tires when I raise the lift. I'm also having the same issue with my 6 ft box blade and 6 ft disc. The tractor is a 1977 model Massey Ferguson 245. The rear tires are 13.6 X 28. I've been told...

    1030 comfort King Paint

Yes, all that I have seen were painted just like those in the pictures that you posted. I took a closer look at the tractor today and there is no evidence of a repaint. Needless to say, I'm not confident that this is the correct color for this tractor. Thanks!!!

    1030 comfort King Paint

I stumbled upon a Case 1030 Comfort King in really great condition yesterday. The tractor has low hours and looks to be original. Did Case offer the 1030 in an all red paint job or has someone repainted it? All that I have ever seen were red and yellow. Was this tractor a special demonstrator...

    853 New Holland

Thx Ron. I wasn"t aware that the main chain had to run backwards in order to kick the bale out. I quess thats why it is called a reverser-----duh. Thx again Ron

    853 New Holland

The cable for the reverse drive is broken on my 853 New Holland baler. The baler is chain driven and has electric. What is the function of the reverse drive?

    MF 165 PTO Problem

I totally agree with Eric. If the multipower is in low, freewheel mode, the speed of the tiller tines are trying to push the tractor. I would suggest putting the multipower in hi when tilling as well as when you are going down hill. Nothing is more frighting than a runaway tractor going down a hill.

    Massey Ferguson 245 lift

Lift raises perfectly but is slow when lowered, even with an implement attached. There is no lag or jerk when raised. I"ve tried not raising it all the way up to see if the noise stops. Even at only half way up it still knocks but only if an implement is attached to the lift.

    Massey Ferguson 245 lift

I just recently bought a nice little Massey Ferguson 245 with low hours and nice original paint. Everything works great, but when you raise the lift with an implement attached, there is a knocking noise coming from near the bellhousing. If you raise the lift with no implement attached there is...

    3000 ford power steering

Ok, I've managed to find a few kits for power assist steering. So my next questions are----- Do they actually work well and how difficult are they to install? Thanks!!!

    3000 ford power steering

I've just purchased a 1969 ford 3000 gas burner with manual steering and was wondering if there is a kit available to convert it to power steering? I'm a Massey Ferguson kinda guy, having owned well over a dozen through out the years, so I'm not real familiar with these lil blue machines...
