    Where would the cover be? From what I can figure it goes into the middle of the tractor behind the differential, I would have to remove remove the left axle to get to it. I think.

    I have the manual, could not find the removal procedure for the pto shaft. Only the bearing removal and replacement. I got the part lay out but that doesn t help.

    I would think the whole shaft with the gear would pull out as on assembly, how do you get to it to remove it and then reassemble it without taking the whole tractor apart. I don t see any access covers to get to it. Most JDs the shaft pulls straight out. Something is hanging it up but I can t...

    That s kind of what I was thinking, but it looks like it retains the inner part of the roller bearing and should slide out of the outer part of the bearing. How would you remove it from inside the tractor with out a total over haul. Working on a few JD tractors one would think it would be easier...
