    OT Allis tidbit!!!

CaCi was used in our old WD-45 and served it's purpose, added weight to a somewhat light tractor. it survived many cold winters and never took it's toll on the rims. But any small leak and ... you never know. The spin out rims were also neat as well as the hand clutch, hence live PTO hydraulics...

Nice tires on the old for sale one. Interesting fenders on it, but could be straightened and made to look good.

    Dumb Drawbar question

Yes you need the drawbar hanger, the underneath is for pulling, the hanger holds the drawbar up to carry weight.

International Harvester L-120 Series Pickup (PICS)

My dad had a 1953, quite a workhorse on the farm. I even went on my first date in it. If I could have keep it...

what size tires and tube y'all running on yer C's

For just a refurbish, it sure looks like a restoration. Looks great. Are those the long axles or are the wheels set in, they make 100inch axles on those, we had one, ended up cutting 6inch off each side, always a pain hitting fence posts and garage doors.

what size tires and tube y'all running on yer C's

I think that a little choke for a little while is normal as long as it does not need it while warmed up. Do you have new pictures yet.

How do you all hook up your plow rope to your tractor

Now this brings back memories. I know we had a trip rope plow, but mostly we had a trip rope dump rake adapted from a horse drawn one. Where did we attach the rope end? I am not sure, we may have just tied it to something convenient or left it in our hand. That figure 8 type hook looks good...

    observatons

You are doing that 'C' proud , of course the 'C' I was familiar with was only 50 years ago. Love the pics and yes that no water pump system works well. Maybe unless you go to the 123 or 135cc engine do you want to change that. Do not change to a wide front, it will never turn as sharp, with a...

    Australian Farmall H Rear Tyres

If you check the diameter of tires you will find that 14.9 x 28 almost as tall as a a 11.2 x 38 . Well almost as tall about 3 inches shorter in diameter. That would make the gears speeds a little slower than using the the 38 inch tires, unless your tractor had the W-4 rear gears in it then it...

part number for speedi sleeve for crankshaft pulley?

Now soundguy what are doing mixing an IH with all your Fords. You will find the 'C' usefull, updated to a super 'C' even more so. I always thought the 'C' was a little underpowered for the weight especially with a 2 row cultivator.

    Unusual Farmall M

One long machine. I have seen other pictures of graders using an 'M', they should be nice working outfits.

F-20 with a 6 cylinder Silver Diamond engine in it

If this was a pickup engine, in early 50's they were about 220ci and 90hp at 3600 rpm. We had one in a 1953 PU and it was a trouble free motor, lasted 25+ years on the farm before being sold with no engine work that I know of done to it. Should be able to get engine parts for it from IH or a...

Ganging multiple tractors together. Was this necessary?

Back then, large tractors were not much available, especially 100hp+ models. Large farmers used tandems tractors and even triples to do the work on large acre fields. Large ground equipment, less time in field, so not much different than today. The few people who did ganging paved the way for...

    IH 80 Combine pic

WoW, looks like my dad's old one, combined a lot of oats in it's day. It had the Cub industrial engine on it and was a pain to get going after sitting winter and spring. We also had trouble with the grain side tire, we had to put something like a 10+ ply tire on it to carry the load better, but...

    2N step plates

A little more red paint and it will look like a Farmall. Footrests are a nice addition.
