    Savage Model 42 Update

    I bought a model 24DL in the mid 70s(?) in 22lr/20 gauge. I didn't like it because the stock did not have enough drop at the comb to get down on the sight. I traded it for an Astra model 600 in 9mm. Still have the Astra. I recently picked up another in 22mag/20 gauge. I like it.
