    $3000.00 on steel is good price on BO. like other said make sure the steel is in good shape. They sold BO on steel in IL yesterday for $6500.00 with Fordson fenders on the rear.

    Cane tractor

    I have 2 early model MV, 2 super MV, 1 Super with the round tube frontend. Pick up front end parts this last week to put another early one together. Have sold at least 3 thru out the years. These are the cane models, not the MCH cotton tractors and I have one of those tractors also.

    Thompson supplied the front axle and cast center front wheels and used a 21" front wheel. The rear center are cast and the rims have a angle welded to them for mounting to the cast wheel. If you have rear drop with 2 gears at the top it is for the high crop tractor. I have different opinion...

    Not for sure about the transmission Serial #413 -8068458 I did have the Serial # verified before I bought it. We buy most tractor site unseen so this could have been missed. We have more case 730 and 830 high crops will have to some checking.

    Here is a Case 400 high crop we got in last week. The owner had converted it to gas it was on LP. I have the original LP tank. tractor runs good and not to bad of condition for coming out of the south.

    D-17 Diesel

    might want to check the return line if it is stop up. then it builds to much pressure and will hydro lock up the injection pump. There is a small check valve at the top of the pump. This usually is a sign the flex ring is going bad in the pump. Like all the other said make sure you have good flow.
