    4500 backhoe supply/return

Thanks mhb@ufe that is what I was thinking but had my item number wrong. Hopefully I can get a steering problem fixed on my 4500 and then get everything connected and working. It's hard to complain about a $800 tractor that sat for ten years and didn't take much to get it fired up and running.

    4500 backhoe supply/return

So if I leave my loader valve in place then item 24 is my pump pressure side and would connect to the supply side on my BH. Item 19 connects to my power beyond from the BH and my sump return would connect to item 20. I don't want to burn my pump up by making the wrong connections. I appreciate...

    4500 backhoe supply/return

I went back and looked at my tractor and found the T (item 20) on the loader frame that connects to the cross over tube (item 92). I assume that is the sump return? Item 19 is currently connected to my loader valve (left hard line in my picture). So now I am confused because the diagram seems to...

    4500 backhoe supply/return

Is there a way to verify if the hardline with the cap on it dumps into the sump? This loader has a connection under the tractor that runs from post to post of the loader and I assume that is the return to sump but does not have a good way to tie into it.

    4500 backhoe supply/return

Not sure if these help and they are not in any particular order. I think I have it figured out so tell me if I'm wrong. 1. Hose from pump will go to feed side on BH 2. Line from BH will feed loader valve at connection where feed line is currently attached 3. This is where I am not sure of but I...

    4500 backhoe supply/return

TOH I will get some pictures later. Sean The backhoe was originally on a 3400 with the main line off the pump going directly to the hoe and 1 line from the hoe going back to the loader valve and the 3rd tied into the loader frame ( I assume that is the return line to the pump)

    4500 backhoe supply/return

The 4500 has a frame for a backhoe but I haven’t found any place to make the connections. I am not a hydraulics guy so not sure about the valves and power beyond.

    4500 backhoe supply/return

Does anyone have or could you tell me where to find the supply and return hose connection on the tractor side of a 4500. I took a 753 off of 3500 tractor, but I do not know where to plumb it into the hydraulic system of the 4500.

    Ford 540A Industrial help

Thanks for the quick response. I am trying to see which way I want to go as far as cost to make the tractor functional. At some point I would like to add an industrial loader and either way I go it looks like a front mounted pump is better overall.

    Ford 540A Industrial help

Would I need a front mount pump after I install the 4600 rear end, Or are the 4600 hydraulics able to run a loader and auxiliaries?
