    The parts book shows it as a rectangle but mine is angle cut to meet the sides. They probably stopped doing that later on to save a little work when assembling. Nobody would know the difference if you left it rectangular.

    Can't get in there very well but the board end is thus: 7/8" thick. Exposed face is 1-1/2" wide. The bottom is square cut but the top is at a 45 degree angle to meet the side board. In the shape of a "right trapezoid".

    I know if your baler still has the old style knotter, you must install a sleeve on the shaft to adapt to the split frame. Therefore you must disassemble the shaft anyway.

    I know this lid fits the #1 and #2 mower as have and still use the #1 mower to make hay for our pony. The tool box is cast into the main frame and is not separate.
